In Maribor, one of Slovenia’s biggest badminton tournaments will return from May 13 to May 17, 2026 – I FEEL SLOVENIA LI-NING OPEN 2026. The event will once again take place at Hotel Draš, welcoming top players from around the world.
According to current data, around 45 countries will take part in the tournament, highlighting its strong international significance. In total, there are 332 entries across all disciplines (Men’s Singles – MS, Women’s Singles – WS, Men’s Doubles – MD, Women’s Doubles – WD, Mixed Doubles – XD).
Strongest teams
The largest delegation comes from India, with an impressive number of
entries:
22 players in Men’s Singles (MS),
11 in Women’s Singles (WS),
and numerous entries across all doubles disciplines.
Strong teams are also coming from:
Malaysia (14 MS, 8 WS),
Austria (9 MS, 5 WS),
Slovenia, as the host nation, with a solid lineup (11 MS, 3 WS, 5 MD, 3 WD, 5 XD), as well as Chinese Taipei and Germany.
The tournament will bring together players from Europe, Asia, Oceania,
and beyond – from countries such as Indonesia, Korea, and Thailand to
European nations like France, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Croatia, as
well as smaller badminton nations like the Faroe Islands.
Sustainability in focus
A special highlight of this year’s edition is sustainability. In
cooperation with our partner I FEEL SLOVENIA, several sustainability
projects will be implemented both in the lead-up to and during the
tournament. The goal is to reduce environmental impact while raising
awareness among participants and visitors about responsible and
sustainable practices.

I FEEL SLOVENIA LI-NING OPEN 2026 once again promises top-level matches,
strong international competition, and an excellent opportunity to
promote Slovenia as a sporting destination.
